1. Introduction

PLN Mobile is a utility app designed to help users manage their electricity needs easily. Back in March 2020, I was given the opportunity to design illustrations for the first version of the app. My focus was on the splash screen and empty state illustrations, two important touchpoints that shape the overall feel of the app. The final product was launched in December 2020.

2. Goals

• Build a strong first impression through a welcoming splash screen.

• Provide clarity and friendliness in empty states.

• Align with PLN’s brand identity while introducing a more human and approachable feel.

  Reviewed PLN’s visual identity and tone to ensure consistency.

  Explored ideas focused on energy, accessibility, and simplicity.

• Digital Illustration
  Turned sketches into clean vector graphics with vibrant colors and soft shapes.

• Integration Prep
  Adjusted visuals for seamless placement within the app UI and collaborated with the UI team for alignment.
